The American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP) practice exam is an excellent tool to assist CENP candidates to prepare for the CENP certification exam. Developed by a group of experts in the field, it was created using a rigorous process similar to the development of the Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP) examination. It can serve as a diagnostic tool to assess strengths and areas for improvement in the content domains covered on the exam. Other practitioners may find the tool useful for professional development purposes.

The CENP practice exam is an online practice exam that parallels the format, cognitive levels and difficulty of the CENP certification exam and, like the certification exam, the content is based on the AONL Nurse Executives Competencies ™. While the CENP certification exam contains 175 multiple-choice items, of which 150 are scored and the other 25 are pre-test items, the CENP Practice exam contains 100 items.

The practice exam is not a prerequisite to take the certification exam and is not intended to be a substitute for studying for the exam or the required professional experience. It should not be inferred that performance on the practice exam will replicate performance on the actual exam.

Access to the practice exam. After you have successfully placed your order for the practice exam, you will receive an e-mail with specific instructions on how to access and complete the practice exam. Depending on your e-mail settings and provider, it could take up to 1 hour for you to actually receive the e-mail. The e-mail will come from exams@lxr.com. If you do not receive the e-mail within 1 hour, please check your spam and/or junk e-mail folders and notify web test support at 913-895-4828 for further assistance.

You will have unlimited online access to the practice exam for up to 90 days from the date of purchase or until you complete the practice exam and submit it to be scored, whichever occurs first.

Once you select Finish and Display Results, you will no longer have online access to the practice exam. At that point, you will receive the following reports via e-mail. You may print these reports and use them as a resource and for continued preparation for the exam or your professional development.

• Score Report - Indicates the number of questions you answered correctly within each content area as well as your selected response to each question.
• Feedback Report - Lists each item and explanation for each option on the exam, the option you selected, and the correct answer.

NOTE: Purchase of the practice exam is intended for single person use by the person who purchased the practice exam.

Completion of the practice exam is an eligible certification renewal education activity. Current CENPs who complete the CENP PRACTICE EXAM, report it on the certification renewal application and submit proof of completion, will earn five (5) contact hours toward the certification renewal requirements. A copy of the first page of your individual mastery report serves as proof of completion.
